A plot in Ahmedabad's North-West Zone has been allotted for a new nursery, under the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation's (AMC) "Green City" concept, following approval at the Standing Committee's meeting on 20 August 2026.

Where and for how long

The plot is at T.P.-214, Final Plot No. 98, in the North-West Zone, and has been allotted to applicant Banshrajsinh Bhagwatsinh Thakor (Thakur), Ahmedabad, for two years from the date of the resolution — through roughly August 2028 — at a daily token rate of ₹500 (inclusive of municipal tax). As with other AMC token allotments, the Corporation can reclaim the plot if it needs it before the term ends.

The idea behind it

The stated purpose, per the Standing Committee's note, is to develop a nursery that keeps the city's "Green City" concept in mind — encouraging residents to grow flowers, plants, and trees. It's a small-scale allotment rather than a major public park, but it adds to the Corporation's ongoing greening efforts across the city's zones.
